Kids, you too. Your parents might be uncool, but they know more about what’s important than you think they do. Listen to them. And grab life by the horns and don’t let go. Opportunities don’t come along every day. Take chances. You’ll be glad you did.

I love this song … “you’re still young, that’s your fault, there’s so much you have to go through” … “look at me, I am old, but I’m happy” … “I know, I have to go away” … the way he alternates which character POV he sings from, with his voice, from verse to verse, the patient and quiet and wise old man vs. the anxious and impetuous and loud son … a cool song to play on acoustic guitar, too … a timeless classic.
