A classic blue 1950s kitchen.
It may look dated today, but I’ve always kind of liked this look. Maybe because it reminds me of being a kid, sitting in my grandmother’s kitchen. That fridge, especially, the shape of it, brings back memories.
Today everything has to be wood or stainless steel or black. Which is nice, to a point, and I do love the look of wood, but there is a nice clean look when you have painted surfaces like this, too. Very utilitarian. Plus it’s warmer and more colorful. Stainless steel is so cold and industrial looking. Someday we will look back and say, “wow, what were people thinking, stainless steel appliances in your kitchen?”
